Here at Podium, our entire team is passionate about the outdoors and helping customers find the right tools to help them get the most out of Summit County’s natural wonders.
Jared Hawn- Tune Shop Manager – Head Ski Techninician
Former U.S. Ski Team technician Jared Hawn has been with Podium tune shop since it opened in 2012. Jared started tuning skis with a passion at the age of 14 and has developed it into a lifelong career. He enjoys the feedback of his work and loves helping out racers and their parents with tune clinics and wax calls. “Education in this sport is key and I am always willing to dispense knowledge. I truly believe we have the best staff around.” Jared is passionate about all the outdoor activities Colorado has to offer, especially flyfishing.
Paul Trinh- Retail Shop Manager – Master Bootfitter
Paul has been with Podium since 2016 and enjoys skiing, snowboarding, mountain biking, and snowmobiling. Paul originally hails from Minnesota, but fell in love with Colorado and has lived here since. Paul is also a master bootfitter and certified bike mechanic, as well as an accomplished flyfisherman.
Matt Weiler – Assistant Manager, Tune Shop
Hailing from Kenosha, Wisconsin, Matt has been in the ski industry since the age of 16, over 25 years. He has worked as a ski patroller, instructor, snowcat operator, coach and ski technician. In the summer Matt guides flyfishing at Cuthroat Anglers.
John Spriggs – Retail Shop – Master Bootfitter
John Spriggs is a longtime professional skier with a storied career in the sport spanning over a decade. From competing in X Games to shooting movies with TGR and Poor Boyz Productions, there is little John has yet to accomplish in the ski world. John has been working for Podium since 2017 and enjoys camping and flyfishing in the warmer months of the year.
Ron Bluhm- Certified Bike and Ski Mechanic
Ron joined the Podium Sports team in 2019 after moving to Summit County. Born and raised in Cleveland, Ohio it had been a life long dream of his to live in the mountains. His passion for bicycles and skis started young in life, taking on the trade at 15 years old. He is a certified Shimano, Sram and Campagnolo bicycle mechanic with a strong background in race ski and snowboard tuning.
Tyler Stricklin – Tune Shop
Tyler has been in Summit County since the winter of 2013 and started working at Podium Sports in 2016. He enjoys working in the tune shop and is passionate about finding new ways to fix skis and snowboards. Tyler regularly volunteers for Skiers and Snowboarders for Christ. While not volunteering, he’s either on the mountain skiing or on the river flyfishing.
